Mint

Mint Hairdressers serves the vibrant Northcote Road community as an independently owned salon targeting young women aged 16-35, seeking to create a welcoming atmosphere that balances modern sophistication with feminine energy.

Silea's brand development initially explored clean, contemporary aesthetics before pivoting to a more expressive, hand-drawn approach that better resonated with the youthful target demographic. The final logo was crafted using ink brush techniques, then refined digitally to maintain organic authenticity while ensuring technical precision across applications.

The vibrant colour palette extends beyond brand identity to become the foundational design language for the physical space itself. Given the salon's compact square footage, our spatial strategy prioritised efficiency without sacrificing the desired bright, airy atmosphere.

Our interior approach eliminated visual barriers between front and back areas to create spatial flow, while centrally positioned back-to-back mirrors freed wall space for essential storage. The exterior presence features bold colour applications on windows and doors, complemented by feminine hand-painted glazing text and strategic Northcote Road-facing signage that captures passing foot traffic.

The result transforms a modest space into an inviting destination that feels both professionally polished and personally welcoming.
